WORST RACE: 1985 National - 51st . 9 miles of 6 inch deep muddy clay - thought I could come top 20, but was (not very) grateful to get round. Played inter-hall rugby at Loughborough the next day and got 7 stitches in my calf. What a weekend!

I am very motivated to continue to be successful relative to my age, but also to keep enjoying my training and racing. If I can do that I’ll keep going - but I have to say family life comes first these days.
