Personal Profile: I’m determined and focused most of the time. I enjoy training with others and not alone and can’t do without my wife with me at races.

Ambitions/Future aspirations: To make a major champs and to run 13:40 for 5k

Best Race: running 14:03(5k) after 2 weeks hard training in Portugal.

Worse Race: running 4:01 for a 1500 the week after winning the Brooks brands Hatch 10k in blazing hot weather. Took me 3 weeks to recover from that race!!!!

Personal best performances: 800: 1:51, 1500: 3:43, 3k: 8:03, 5k: 14:03 all track. Road 5miles: 23:35,10k: 29:35

I enjoy travelling to Spain and Portugal and taking a break from running. Im a massive football fan and also enjoy playing golf.

red for Liverpool or what ever colour they are playing in.

What would you have done if you hadn’t been so good at running?

Im sure I would have been involved in sports in some way, maybe coaching football.



Running bits:

I run around 50 miles a week during the summer with 3 sessions a week which include track, threshold and long reps on grass. During the winter I run 65 miles a week with 2 sessions a week, I will be moving my mileage up to 80 during the coming winter as I will be running more 5k's next summer.

 

During the next 2-3 months I will be running some road relays for Belgrave and also a few 10k's including the Brooks Brighton race. Also will be going warm weather training for 10 days to Spain

    (1k + 4 * 400) 3 sets, 1k's 2:44 - 2:47, 400s 62 - 64
  • Wed:
    70mins steady
  • Thu:
    3 * 10 min tempo (5 min pace on hilly course)
  • Fri:
    65mins steady
  • Sat:
    3k - 8:32, 25 min tempo
  • Sun:
    80mins steady
