CLUB:
Cornwall Athletic Club

No need whatsoever to join “bigger” club – prouder of CAC’s 12th place in
National 6 stage a few years back than any number of team medals I could
have won by moving.

BEST RACE:
- 1988 World X-C Champs - first major event and proved I could perform better under pressure. Plus 3 weeks in New Zealand!
WORST RACE:
- 1985 National - 51st . 9 miles of 6 inch deep muddy clay - thought I could come top 20, but was (not very) grateful to get round. Played inter-hall rugby at Loughborough the next day and got 7 stitches in my calf. What a weekend!
AMBITIONS:
- To get the Cornwall AC team into the top six in the National X-C and National Road Relays.
- To run as well as I possibly can, given the restraints of an ageing body!
FAVOURITE MUSIC:
Anything with a touch of aggression. The Undertones, AC/DC, Guns & Roses, Boney M and rock/punk.
Especially like the ...
... Glycerins - one of the very best trainers I've worn
... Mach 11 - great C-C spike
