- Kosice international marathon 2nd (2005)
- First reserve commonwealth games (2006)
- Indoor British junior and English senior 5k record
- National cross country champs 4th (1992 and 2006)
- 5 GB vests road and cross country
- Several England vests for cross country
FUTURE PLANS:
- To improve my marathon time and get selected for a major championship
AMBITIONS:
I would like to make a major game in the next 4years, either the 2006. Commonwealth Games in Melbourne or the Beijing Olympics 2008, even though my ambitions are to attend these games, I don't want to go there just for the ride; I want to challenge for a good position in both.
HIGHLIGHTS:
2005 was a great boost for my confidence, gaining the commonwealth games qualification time and getting my first GB since 1993 and also running well in that vest as I was 2nd in the Kocise marathon in Slovakia, It was also fantastic to win the Northern cross country championships 14 years after my first title but I suppose coming 4th in the world junior cross country championships (the year Paula Radcliffe won) has been my best international result.
DISAPPOINTMENTS:
Getting injured when only 19 I partially ruptured my Achilles tendon I had to have 2 operations and because of this I had to pull out of the senior world cross country team in 1993, also not getting selected for this years commonwealth games as I easily had the qualifying time by 2 minutes but the selectors decided to only take 2 not 3 athletes for the event, I also missed the 10.000 meter track qualifying time by 1 second in 1993. So I am definitely going to keep a major championship as my focus.
