AIMS

My aims for the near future (the next 2 to 3 years) are mainly to break through to senior ranks in Great Britain. By break through, I mean to be challenging our top runners in national finals. My aim for this season coming is to run under 1:50, which I believe is realistic. Even though I will be a bottom age u20 this year I will not pay much attention to that fact because I feel that this age group is used because some athletes cannot mentally handle competing against fully grown men.

Long term my aims lie in competing internationally, as I realize that being one of the best in Britain at the moment means absolutely nothing. My main aim is the Olympics I hope to compete in 2008 in Beijing for experience, but I still intend to do well, I believe there is no point in going for experience of getting knocked out on the first round. In 2012 I will be 23 and hope to win the Olympics, which I know is a big ask but I believe it is possible, then in 2016 I will be 27 and hope to defend my title and do the 800/1500 double.
