Favorite Brooks item

My favorite Brooks trainer is the Brooks adrenaline GTS 8 because it gives the foot great support. They also give a nice cushioning and I love the design. The material allows the foot to breathe which is necessary. I also really like Brooks jacket. They are great when the weather isn’t that nice but you don’t want to wear a heavy jumper or coat because you will get too hot.

Personal (all about me)

My main passion is athletics. I have been running for many years ever since a school sports day and have never looked back. I started my athletics career as a sprint hurdler and was the county champion but soon turned into a middle distance runner. When I am not training hard and competing, you will find me on the beach in the summer. Dancing, I enjoy ballet a lot. I also used to play hockey at a county level but was unable to continue as my dedication was for my athletics.

Best race

My best race was when I won the south of England championships over 800m as an under 17. It was a great feeling sprinting down the home straight knowing no one would pass me. I knew I would win as I desperately wanted a title. I love that feeling when you pass the bell with a lap to go; I always run my best when I’m out in front leading the race.

Worst race

This has to be at the English schools championships. I came last in my heat knowing that the year before I beat most of the girls who were in front of me. I finished the race in tears, I was distraught. From then on I trained as hard as possible and bounced back even stronger. At this race I just wasn’t fit or in the right frame of mine, I just didn’t take it seriously.
