We’ve taken the long-lasting cushioning of our MoGo midsole and made it environmentally friendly. How, you ask? By adding a non-toxic, natural additive to the MoGo compound that encourages anaerobic microbes to munch away once it hits the landfill.

Yes, we’ve taken the long-lasting cushioning of our original MoGo midsole and made it more environmentally friendly. Traditional EVA-midsoles can last up to 1,000 years in a landfill. BioMoGo’s microbial munch rate is a staggering 50 times faster, biodegrading nutrients into reusable byproducts in 20 to 22 years! That means that in about 20 years‘ time, Brooks alone will save 29.9 million pounds of landfill waste.

Mogo – BROOKS® groundbreaking new midsole material uses a polymerstructure, that is more durable than EVA and with that less susceptible to extreme tempreture ranges and with that is softer, more pleasant and more flexible. Tests with runners have also shown, that more than the technical aspect of the shoe the first-feel impression in Mogo-shoes has been classed as outstanding.


That the Mogo shoe itself endures therefore less fatigue (overall 33% less), becomes a positive side effect and with the 28% greater flex crack resistance compaired to regular EVA makes the significance clear.

The lower density of MoGo makes the material 13% lighter - an important advantage for future lightweight models.

And still, MoGo has amazing temperature attributes. The fluctuations of the material between lower and higher temperatures, are minimal. In total no more than 0.15 pa.

MoGo not only represents a giant leap forward in midsole materialperformance, it also entails an evolved method of production.

Compression Molded Preform (CMP) is an efficient, precise production process in which,rather than being cut out of large sheets of material in the traditional method, midsoles are cast in individual molds.

This environmentally friendly process results in 50% less waste.

In the future, BROOKS® will develop further processes to enhance environmental friendlyness of the products we throw away after the life cycle.
