The new queen of Kona: Chrissie Wellington

She did it again. Last year a virus stopped Chrissie Wellington at the ironman Hawaii, but this year she came back in perfect shape and she is still unbeaten in 2011. After 8:55:08 she crossed the finishline - her second best time ever in Kona.

Last year she lost her title to Mirinda Carfrea from Australia. But now Chrissie got her fourth World Championship, after her hattrick in the years from 2007 to 2009 at the world's strongest triathlon. After the swimming of 3,86 km Chrissie was on position number 17, on the bike she fought her way to rank 6.
